Mark is a specialist in oral surgery and has placed more than 3,000 implants to date. He works in three private dental practices in the North West. He is also an honorary staff surgeon for the East Lancashire Maxillofacial Service where he worked as a staff grade surgeon for 13 years, with experience in many aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Mark was awarded the Astra Tech Implant Scholarship in 2001. He specialises in surgical aspects of implant dentistry working alongside several restorative colleagues and laboratory technicians providing a team approach for dental implantology. Mark provides lectures for implant training and is a mentor for the University of Manchester MSc Implantology course. He is a member of the BDA, the ADI, the BAOS, the BAOMS and the EAO.

Bryan joined Bamford Dental Practice in 1994 and is now one of the practice principals. He has a special interest in dental implants and carrying out the restorative stages of implant treatment. Sandy has been a member of the Bamford team for almost a decade and has a keen interest in dental implantology. She has been restoring dental implants across multiple systems for 7 years and already offers a dental implant service at another practice in Cheshire. Besides her vast array of qualifications including MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Surgical Dentistry from Bristol University (DPDS) Sandy is also is close to completing the prestigious Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Sandy is an Undergraduate Dental Tutor on the University of Manchester BDS course and has hospital oral surgery experience as a Senior House Officer at Wythenshawe Hospital in South Manchester. Sandy is available to accept referrals for surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.

Johnny qualified from Newcastle in 2006 and has always had an
interest in Oral Surgery and Implantology. He has worked part time in hospital as a Clinical Assistant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Salford Royal Hospital. He spent some time as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in a post which was based at the Royal Blackburn Hospital. Jonathan has recently completed a Masters Degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (Distinction) at the University of Manchester where he now also teaches. He has passed the Membership examination for the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and also the Membership Exam for the Joint Dental Faculties of England. He has completed a multisystem certificate course in Dental Implantology hosted by Professor Ucer. Jonathan will also be accepting referrals for surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.

After working in general practice for three years, Lee undertook a two year postgraduate course in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Manchester University. Lee is a Full Member of the BACD. He has completed year long advanced aesthetic and restorative programmes with Paul Tipton and Chris Orr, as well as various levels of the Dawson Academy (UK) occlusion and treatment planning programme. He is a part time Clinical Instructor at the University of Manchester where he also has a position as Speciality Dentist – Endodontics with the CMFT. He is currently in the final stages of his Masters degree in Endodontics at the University of Chester. Lee carries out the restorative stages of implant treatment and would be a particularly useful contact if you are unsure whether a tooth should be root treated or replaced with a dental implant with the aid of Cone Beam CT scans for difficult cases.
